major forest products manufacturers in North America
to ensure a reliable supply of quality softwood lumber.
A large portion of the 350 million board feet
purchased in 2007 was through contracts
negotiated with many of these vendors.
While southern pine constitutes
the majority of our softwood business,
we also utilize large volumes of our western
and Canadian species, such as spruce and fir,
throughout the southern and western regions
of the United States and Mexico.
