Get to know our Conroe Manufacturing Facility
The Conroe Manufacturing Facility, located on the outskirts of North Houston, Texas serves customers in Houston, Southern Texas, Louisiana, and the surrounding areas.
Along with our Haslet plant in Northern Texas, Conroe ensures that we can provide the wholesale and industrial lumber, custom pallets, and custom crates that our Texas and Louisiana customers need.
Plant Capabilities
Our Conroe Manufacturing Facility is equipped with a wide range of industrial lumber manufacturing capabilities, including both specialty machinery and expert assemblers. The facility remanufactures lumber, meaning that we process bulk lumber from mills into the dimensional lumber you need. The facility also assembles a wide variety of transportation packaging, meaning they can handle just about any type of custom pallet, crate, or hybrid you need.
Our Conroe plant also works as a backup for several other plants when they have production disruptions. All of our plants operate with this kind of redundancy to make sure that we can always deliver products to our customers on time. Whether it’s truckloads of lumber each week, or custom pallets or crates, our Conroe Manufacturing Facility can handle it.
Plant Location
Conveniently located near I-45 and less than an hour from downtown Houston, our Conroe Manufacturing Facility has a unique ability to service the wider Houston metropolitan area and beyond. Rather than being stuck in Houston’s notorious city traffic for every delivery, the Conroe Manufacturing Facility’s relative distance away from the city allows for our products to move unobstructed to many different locations.
Aside from Houston and its various suburbs, our Conroe Manufacturing Facility regularly delivers to cities within the region and beyond. Common cities include Beaumont, Waco, Austin, San Antonio, Brownsville, and Lafeyette, LA, and more. If your business isn’t in or around these areas, there’s no need to worry – our Conroe Manufacturing Facility delivers to the surrounding states and across the nation.

Conroe Manufacturing Facility History
The Conroe plant has an interesting history. In fact, Montgomery County (where the plant is located) is the birthplace of the Texas Flag. Conroe itself is named after Northern-born Union Cavalry Officer and Houston Lumber man Isaac Conroe. Conroe founded a sawmill in the area in 1881, and the Conroe Museum even has a large saw that was saved from that era.
In August of 2017, the Conroe plant and its employees were struck by Hurricane Harvey, a Category 4 hurricane that devastated much of Southern Texas. As the second most costly hurricane to hit the U.S. mainland since 1900, Conner helped its employees get back on their feet, and today the Conroe plant is stronger than ever.
